ACM AI 2026 - Leadership summit

September 2026

I attended the ACM AI 2026 - Leadership Summit, where I had the opportunity to hear from leading AI researchers and pioneers including Yann LeCun, Rodney Brooks, Andrew Barto, and other influential voices in the field. The event was a valuable chance to learn directly from people who have shaped modern AI research, including Turing Award laureates.

I also presented our paper, “Confident but Unreliable: A Behavioral Safety Audit of Vision-Language Models on Brain MRI”, which studies VLM reliability for brain-MRI question answering through calibration, confident-error, hallucination, abstention, and slice-level accuracy analysis.

Best Paper Presentation Award - Advanced Computer Networks

March 2026

My team and I received the Best Paper Presentation Award in the Advanced Computer Networks course at Georgia State University, taught by Prof. Huadi Zhu. Our presentation focused on BEAM + learned AS distance for routing anomaly detection, and I built a related project, Routing Anomaly Detection System, to extend those ideas into a practical system for analyzing routing behavior and detecting anomalous network paths.

Graduate Conference for Research at Georgia State University 2026

February 2026

I had the opportunity to present our research, FlexSplat, at the Annual Graduate Conference for Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity at Georgia State University. The work was developed in collaboration with researchers from Duke University and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, focusing on flexible feed-forward 3D Gaussian Splatting for multi-view reconstruction without point-cloud correspondence.

FlexSplat was later accepted to BMVC 2026, the British Machine Vision Conference.

fMRI Frontier: Bridging Minds, Methods, & Medicine - Atlanta, Georgia

February 2026

I attended Functional Neuroimaging Frontiers: Bridging Minds, Methods, & Medicine, a TReNDS symposium focused on functional neuroimaging, multimodal data science, computational methods, and clinical translation.

This was a meaningful AI-in-health experience for me: the talks connected machine learning, biomedical AI, neuroimaging biomarkers, precision psychiatry, and real-world healthcare impact. The event brought together researchers and speakers from renowned institutions including Georgia State University, Georgia Tech, Emory University, UCLA, and the NIH/National Institute of Mental Health, making it a strong example of how AI and data science can support brain health and medicine.

CVPR 2025 - Nashville, Tennessee

June 2025

I attended CVPR 2025, an incredible opportunity to meet world-class researchers, explore breakthrough work in 3D Computer Vision, Gaussian Splatting, foundation models, and learn about the newest progress across the vision community.

It was inspiring to attend workshops, connect with companies, gain insights from top labs, and talk with experts shaping the future of AI. I came back with new ideas, motivation, and a deeper understanding of current research trends.
